sweet supply

in the freshness
of the early morning
the little hummingbird
darts and hovers
drinking nectar
from the uplifted cornucopias
of vibrant purple blossoms
life-giving nourishment
for the taking
supplied abundantly
by the Father

Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father  feeds them.  Are you not of more value than they? ~ Matthew 6:26

  5. I've been thinking about the hummingbird ever since early summer, how it can keep its head perfectly still, though its wings whiz and its body darts around...

And your previous post---hey, you're making me hungry!
