Solitude

A place to escape to,
where the noise and activity of
everyday life are far away....
a quiet spot at the edge of the river,
where the soothing sounds of water
rippling and flowing downstream
wash over my soul,
and my heart is refreshed looking up
to majestic red rock and
lifted in gratitude to the Creator.

  1. Pam, that's such a lovely scene, and beautiful poetry to go along with it. Do you ever link up with The Creative Exchange? They'd love to see your posts, as I do.

  8. Hi Pam,
What a beautiful pairing of words and image! The wonderful coloring of your capture makes me long for the southwest! Our family still owns property by Arches National Park. We're looking forward to the day when we can spend winters there :)
    Happy weekend to you!
